I’ll write predictions and short analysis for all matches. I don’t have enough time. Sorry guys, but there’s just not enough time to write my regular analysis. You can also read my article about Li Na – wtablogging.wordpress.com/li-nas-retirement 🙂
Here’s my predictions:
-Vandeweghe df. Beck in 2 sets – Coco is in a good form, but Annika isn’t. Coco’s powerful serves and groundstrokes will disarm Beck’s defensive game.
-Errani df. Watson in 2 tight sets – Both players are not in really good form. Errani lost last week to Erakovic, but I still think that her defensive game will be stronger than Heather’s controlled aggression.
-Cibulkova df. Keys in 3 sets – Cibulkova finally found some form. I think that her explosive game will edge Madison’s ball-bashing game.
-Bacsinszky df. Voegele in 2 tight sets – Both players are playing very aggressive, but Timea is more consistent this year, so I think she’ll win this match.
-Cornet df. Oprandi in 3 sets – Alize is maybe tired, but I still think that she’ll be able to win this.
-Penetta df. Gajdosova in 3 sets – Gajdosova have a chance in this match, but Penetta’s smart game will be stronger than Jarmila’s aggressive game.
-Safarova df. Lisicki in 3 tight sets – Safarova mental game is much better this year. I believe she’ll edge Sabine and her powerful shots.
-Suarez Navarro df. K.Zhang in 2 sets – Zhang played solid these 2 weeks, but Carla is just too good.
-Jankovic df. McHale in 3 tight sets – Jelena is not in good form, but I still think than she’ll edge Christina and her topspin forehand.
-Muguruza df. Torro-Flor in 2 sets – Muguruza’s powerful game is just too much for Torro-Flor’s inconsistent game.
-DellAcqua df. Vinci in 3 sets – Casey will expose Roberta’s lack of self-confidence and she’ll win this match.
-Garcia df. Radwanska in 3 sets – Garcia played great against Venus, so I think she’ll edge Radwanska who isn’t in good form.
-Ivanovic df. Pavlyuchenkova in 2 sets – Ana is just too powerful for Anastasia in this moment.
-Peng df. Barthel in 2 sets – Barthel is struggling with her form this year and Peng is in form of her life. I think that Peng will win this.
-Stosur df. Ka.Pliskova in 3 sets – Pliskova is in the better form in this moment, but she’ll be tired after her back-2-back finals in these 2 weeks.
-Sharapova df. Kuznetsova in 3 tight sets – Maria is not in a perfect form, but she’s mentally more stable than Svetlana.
