I don’t know what to say. Matches are impossible to predict. I don’t know how to write my predictions anymore. Today, Simona Halep beaten Serena Williams 6-0 6-2!!! Current world no. 1 played probably worst match ever but Simona played very solid. Williams just couldn’t find the court with her shots and her movement was poor, especially in the first set. Match between Serena and Simona is still haunting me. New era has come! Later that day, Ana Ivanovic defeated Eugenie Bouchard 6-1 6-3. It was great performance by Ana and again, poor performance by Bouchard. She played a little bit better than against Simona but Canadian was still far away from her best. Today I’ll do short predictions without pictures because I’m not ready to write my full predictions yet. Serena vs Halep really proved me that matches are IMPOSSIBLE to predict. I’m hoping that I’ll be right about these 3 matches. I’ll write my standard predictions tomorrow. Thank you for reading my blog and for supporting me. Love y’all ! 🙂
~Agnieszka Radwanska df. Caroline Wozniacki in 3 sets — This is really risky pick but I’ll believe in Aga this time. She played amazing against Petra and she have a chance to win this match too. Caro played very solid against Maria but Radwanska won’t defeat herself like Sharapova. Wozniacki can win this but I’m choosing Agnieszka this time!
~Maria Sharapova df. Petra Kvitova in 3 tight sets — Maria played bad against Wozniacki but she showed great fighting spirit and desire. Petra was far from her best but I think she’ll play better against Maria. Both are powerful but Maria is stronger mentally so I believe she’ll win this in the end. She’ll be extra motivated because she can become world no. 1 after this tournament!
~Serena Williams df. Eugenie Bouchard in 2 very tight sets — Something is telling me that Serena is still not done here. She played poor against Halep but she can bounce back against out-of-form Bouchard. Williams at least played good against Ivanovic. Eugenie played poor in both of her matches. I think that Serena will win but anything is possible. Maybe Serena have some injury or illness. Maybe Kerber will play this match instead of Serena. Who knows!? Probably no one.
